Blog Posts, Blogmas 2022, for KING & COUNTRY

Countdown to Christmas || Week One

Good morning, and happy Saturday! I’m super excited for this new ๐ŸŒŸ festive ๐ŸŒŸ series of post. Here’s how it works- I picked my top four Christmas books, crafts, knitting patterns, cookie recipes, movies and songs. Each Saturday from now until Christmas Eve, I will be posting my selections. This week is all my #4 choices. Enjoy!

But before we start the countdown- don’t forget that the Poppyseeds Christmas Blog Tour 2022 begins on Monday, and goes until Saturday! There are some awesome bloggers signed up, so be sure to follow my blog and theirs to follow the tour.

Christmas Favorites #4:

Movie: Elf

My family watched this last year, and it’s a really funny movie, and it will definitely get you into a festive Christmas spirit.

Knitting Pattern:

Aww, they’re so adorable! I love the little jingle bells around their necks. Click here for the free pattern. I haven’t actually made these, but they look fairly simple. They’re a perfect knitting project for December.

These Christmas trees from Martha Stewart’s website are so cute and festive! You could do them in so many colors. You can find the directions here . It’s number 3 on the list, and there are 14 other fun crafts on the list.

Song: How Many Kings by downhere

Ok, so I don’t think this is my favorite Christmas song, but my sister, our friend and I are singing this at the Christmas program at our church tomorrow. I’ve been listening to it a lot, and the lyrics in the chorus are beautiful!

How many kings stepped down from their thrones
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts,
to romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me.

Cookie Recipe:

Cookie Recipe: Peanut Butter Blossoms

These cookies are SO good, plus, they’re easy, classic and festive! These are also great cookies to make with children, they love putting on the chocolate kisses! (and eating them, too…)

Book: The Christmas Doll

This is a really sweet book, about two orphan sisters who find themselves alone on the streets at Christmastime. It is a lovely story of hope, loyalty and happy endings!

  1. I was gonna enter the giveaway, but then I read the rules and found out that to enter you have to be a legal citizen of the United States (which I’m not) and you have to be 18 or above (which I’m also not) so there went that ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜‚
